New Website Launch!

Well how about that? After months and months and….MONTHS! My website is finally up and running (if you’re reading this, it worked!), after transferring from wix to wordpress it took a lot of getting used to but not it almost feels second nature and the block and organisation pleases this autistic mind of mine.

While this is my first blog post talking about life recently, my entire new site is now live, so read on or leap into the Monozone and check out the site by clicking here.

So now? I’m looking forward to blogging on more regular basis, going on this adventure through life, acting, autism and nerdism and hopefully share it all with you. So lets do this! Please scroll down and hit that subscribe button to stay updated when I post about news and shows etc.

Jobs and Joys.

A New Chapter: Navigating Work, Health & Growth

The year has started off in an interesting way—much of it has been spent building this website, a project I’ve been working on since the last quarter of 2024. It’s been a labor of love, and now that it’s up and running, I can finally dedicate more time to job applications.

I’m still between jobs, picking up freelance work here and there while searching for a more permanent day job that won’t lead to autistic burnout. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that retail isn’t the best fit for me, though I have deep respect for the amazing people who thrive in that environment. So, as of now, I’m unemployed but actively searching, hoping to find something that aligns with my strengths and well-being. Here’s to the next chapter!

Health & Healing

On the health front, I’m doing much better. A large part of 2024 was marked by anxiety-related health struggles, often manifesting as physical pain—a result of work stress and the overwhelming weight of world events. Some of the images from Gaza deeply affected me, leaving a lasting emotional impact.

After speaking with an incredible doctor (huge appreciation for our NHS), I started Sertraline, a medication for anxiety. The adjustment was tough at first, but after a dosage increase, I began to see a real difference. While sleep can still be a challenge, I’ve noticed significant improvements—less fear of the future, reduced anxiety around productivity, and relief from RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria). Most importantly, I’m learning to relax more and trust that things will work out.

So, here’s to ongoing health, healing, and navigating the journey ahead. 🚀✨

Jack and the Beanstalk: An Adventure in Perseverance and Determination

As part of the 2024 panto season, I had the incredible opportunity to join AMA Theatre Company on their tour of Jack and the Beanstalk—taking on the role of the giant, Bohemoth himself!

The tour kicked off with great energy, bringing the magic of panto to schools and community centres. However, we faced a major obstacle when Ian, our Dame, fell ill with pneumonia, forcing us to pause the tour while he recovered. But, like the trooper he is, Ian bounced back, and we were able to reschedule and perform some of the postponed shows in January 2025.

This experience was truly inspiring—the dedication, passion, and sheer resilience of the cast and crew was incredible, especially given the demanding schedule of travel, early mornings, and constant set-ups and breakdowns. One school even had to mechanically remove a fence just to let us through—now that’s a tour story to remember!

I also filmed a vlog during the tour, which should be up on my YouTube channel soon. In the meantime, check out the behind-the-scenes video of one of my favourite moments—amazing the kids with the golden goose puppet! and some stage stills too 🦢✨

Meeting Adrian Gibbs.

Continuing my intersteller galactic journey to meet every single actor who has played The Doctor in Doctor Who I was lucky enough to meet Adrian Gibbs, who played The Watcher in Tom Bakers last classic episode “Logopolis”.

The watcher was a ghostly version of The Doctor, so of course I had to meet him! Big thanks to the team at Fantom Events for organising the signing.

The Importance of being Ernest, The National Theatre.

Whats better than one whovian? Why two of course. My amazing friend and fellow nerd Rene managed to get us some last minute tickets to watch the Importance of being Ernest starring the Doctor himself, Ncuti Gatwa in what can only be described as a spell binding performance.

And it wasn’t just the Doc, the entire cast were incredible! Some of my favourites were Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́, Julian Bleach (DAVROS?!) and Sharon D Clarke but honestly the entire ensemble were so amazing. I’m not able to see as much theatre as I would like due to the costs sometimes but as an Actor it was such a brilliant experience and I hope I get to share the stage with some these amazing thespians one day In Sha-Allah.

Here’s to more shows and more memories in 2025!

Few moments from the end of the show.
